An energy intensity model is also referred to as a predictive model because it calculates expected energy use for a given set of circumstances (e.g., daily production totals and outdoor temperature). The energy intensity model is more complicated than energy key performance indicators, but it’s also more useful to provide actionable information.
We use a baseline period (usually one year) of your facility’s historic data to build your energy intensity model. We collect the data, determine data relationships, define energy drivers, and build acustom equation for your site.
Your custom model provides a measurement of energy savings as you implement energy-saving projects. The cumulative sum of savings (or CUSUM) and percent savings views are your custom model graphs.
