Our project engineers, software engineers, account managers, program specialists, graphic designers, HR professionals, and many more are all connected by one idea: helping the industrial sector run more efficiently by reducing energy waste and unnecessary spend.
Energy efficiency in the industrial sector is a critical component of a more sustainable future. Make no mistake: the potential to decrease industrial energy usage is massive, the challenge is formidable, and the urgency has never been more real. In 2020, the industrial sector was responsible for 33% of total U.S. energy consumption, with manufacturing alone accounting for 25%. According to the International Energy Agency’s Net Zero by 2050 report, “as the second‐largest global source of energy sector CO2 emissions, industry has a vital contribution to make in achieving the net zero [by 2050] goal.” Energy efficiency does not just deliver a positive impact on its own; it is a necessary precursor for other mitigation measures, such as electrification or renewables, to be successful.
Increasingly, our utility and industrial clients are setting ambitious clean energy goals in recognition of the urgency of climate action. We are proud to be a part of the solution, helping them to understand, manage, and optimize their energy usage. We love working on industrial efficiency because it’s important, and it’s hard.
At Cascade, we value sustainability in the biggest possible sense – helping the world become a better place. We are doing our part to fight climate change, for us and for future generations.
